We got to see both the Grand Canyon and Carlsbad Caverns last week on our travels to Texas and Kansas to see family for the holidays. We even got to see Meteor Crater since it ended up being only a couple of miles off our route. Merry Christmas to us! The kids love that we are on a real adventure and they love learning about the history and science behind these magical places. I honestly never had that much interest in the Grand Canyon, but knowing it is iconic and a classic American destination, I wanted to at least see it. It turns out that no pictures or videos could ever do it justice and it is more Grand than I had ever imagined. We glimpsed a tiny portion of this epically sized geological wonder (it’s half the size of Italy and 4 times the size of Los Angeles) and it was the most majestic and amazing thing I’ve seen in my entire life. Carlsbad Caverns has been on my bucket list for years, I was happy to find that we were able to journey a mile deep into the caves and see much more of the wonders within than I had anticipated. I’m always happiest when I’m on the road. Travel is my favorite thing in the whole world and I hate sitting still. I guess I’m just insanely grateful right now to be on this journey with my favorite people in the world on our way to the next amazing things we are doing with our lives. We have so much to look forward to in the coming months and I am beyond excited about all of it.
P.s. The #iphone7plus has a badass camera.
